Unbiased Bushnell Rangefinder real user reviews, Pros and Cons, are very important in order to aid you in making an educated and informed buying decision. After all, shaving strokes from what amounts to approximately 80% of you game is definitely an investment worth making.
When it comes to a golf rangefinder considered to be “Good As Gold” there is one name that stands head and shoulders above the rest, Bushnell. The Bushnell Rangefinder comes from specialists in rifle scopes and telescopes, so it stands to reason that the “World of Golf” is absolutely no problem to folks used to dealing with much more extreme situations and requirements.
The technology used in the Bushnell Tour V2 Golf Range Finder involves an invisible eye-friendly laser beam that is bounced off of objects and then reflected back to the laser golf rangefinder. It then calculates the exact distance based on the time taken in travel.
The great thing about the Bushnell rangefinder models is the fact the reading takes less than a second! The Bushnell Golf Rangefinder is also able to pan across a course or range giving a constantly updated distance reading. Truly amazing considering the physics involved.
So what would be an overview of current Bushnell Rangefinder users?
The overall consensus for the Bushnell Rangefinder seems to be very good indeed, with reliability and ease of use being particular characteristics which set the Bushnell Rangefinder aside from the golf laser range finder competition.
Users have reported other models lasting on average six months before the delicate electronics caused a device failure, yet even after two years the older Bushnell Rangefinder models are functioning at impeccable capacity. The older models however are not as accurate as the newer generation of the Bushnell rangefinder with laser technology such as the Bushnell Tour V2, which takes the golf range finder world into sniper like territory! Whilst the zoom goes up to 5x it is the accuracy and speed of distance measurement that keeps the Bushnell Rangefinder customer base coming back for me.
The one criticism that is reoccurring is the loading of the battery unit. Some users are reporting that it is sometimes difficult to keep tight. Battery life is rated as “beyond expectations”, however when buying your Bushnell Golf Range Finder it may be advisable to try and and pick the one with a nice tight battery unit.
We have taken the time to read through hundreds of Amazon golf rangefinder reviews as well as reviewing feedback from a select group of low handicap golfers and for the moment it definitely seems as though the Bushnell Rangefinder models are wiping the floor with the competition, especially the Bushnell Tour V2 Golf Range Finder with Pinseeker Laser Technology.
Lets look at some Unbiased Bushnell Rangefinder PROS and CONS:
Average Bushnell Rangefinder Customer Review is 4.4 out of 5 stars with 125 customers taking their time to write a review. Following are some complete and some paraphrased excerpts from buyer reviews:
PROS:
I have used a skycaddie for two years. In fact, both only lasted about 6 months before they broke. In a panic, I bought a Bushnell V2 w/ Pinseeker the day before going to Pinehurst and played 4 rounds of golf with it, three of the courses I’ve never played before. It does everything Bushnell claims. Its very easy to use and the Pinseeker mode works perfectly. It never gave me an incorrect reading. One day I was with a Pinehurst member who had a laser designed to work specifically with a reflective element on top of all the Pinehurst flags. Every reading on every par 3 was exactly the same as his to the yard. If you have never used a Rangefinder or skycaddie, I’d recommend the Bushnell golf range finder. It does everything a skycaddie does AND you can laser anything on the course, not just the geographic references the skycaddie has in its course memory. I’m bitter about my skycaddies expenses, but this thing works better. When I get my skycaddie back, I’ll use it but won’t spend the money to renew the annual membership this fall.
I had been looking for a new golf rangefinder for a while because I am a 9 handicap and wanted to see if I could lower my single digit rating. The Bushnell Rangefinder Tour V2 has advanced the accuracy and quickness of operation quite well. My golf game is from 150 yards in. I am not a long hitter so my second shot is a very important part of my game whether it’s a par four or par five. I need the info quickly and precisely. I found this unit the one the people in my foursome always are asking me; “how far is it Phil?” because their units, their GPS ones they have to fiddle with too much. No tricky computer downloads. No annual fees with the Bushnell V2 golf rangefinder.
My Bushnell golf rangefinder is just what I need and can be used with one hand. The V2 golf range finder has the slope option and I have been checking this feature out and although prospects of a final opinion are good I am not ready to elaborate just yet so no 5 star rating. I also used this unit in my work (architect) and it has been very helpful. If you are going to buy it choose the one with the slope option.
I had some interface with a Bushnell techie at their headquarters and he gave me some honest info (how refreshing!!!!). Overall I highly recommend this unit the Bushnell V2. The Amazon price was good and the delivery quick-
I bought this unit because I became tired of my Callaway UPro GPS device. This unit is very easy to use, acquires the flag easily and the slope enhances your game tremendously…
There’s a reason just about every PGA Tour Pro use these in practice rounds with their caddies. They flat out work, they are light, and they are accurate and easy to use. I’ve had mine for over 2 years now, and have changed the battery 3 times total. Last long on battery life, and I use it at least 3 times a week, year ’round.
Decided to invest in a golf range finder to improve my distance and accuracy. After I bought this, I realized how much the yardages are off at my local range.
The Bushnell Tour V2 lives up to all the hype and advertisement you’ve ever seen. The “Pin Seeking” technology is unbelievably good.
I bought this unit because I became tired of my Callaway UPro GPS device. This unit is very easy to use, acquires the flag easily and the slope enhances your game tremendously. I have always had a challenge in figuring out which club to hit when the green was either elevated or downhill, this takes all of the guess work out of the shot and gives you exactly what distance the shot will play given the angle up or down. There is nothing to download, it works at any course and comes with a very nice carrying case. This is a must have for any serious golfer and is even more of a must have for those of us that are constantly trying to break 80. Give it a try, I am sure you will be most happy with this golf rangefinder device.
CONS:
The battery is troublesome to load into the unit and other reports of keeping it in its hole have been reported-alright I put a piece of gorilla tape over it as a precaution, I’m not proud. Battery life was also a concern; well I only used it over the summer 13 weeks 3x a week and it seems OK. The battery is also a not so typical, so keeping a spare in your bag is a good idea.
I got a new V2 in late June and have replaced the battery TWICE (late October).
My Tour V2 stopped working about a year after I purchased it. I sent it back to Bushnell to have it repaired or replaced under the 2 year warranty.
