Shooting with the Nikon Coolpix L310 Rangefinder Digital Camera ...

The Nikon Coolpix L31o might be the very best digital camera to ship out of Nikon this year in 2012, but first I  want  you to realize that this is a rangefinder style digital camera aimed  at the more seasoned or experienced shooter – if you’re  looking for a cheap  and simple point and shoot, consider the Nikon Coolpix L26  as this camera can be bought for less than a hundred dollars from a variety of retailers.

It’s All About The Lens

The lens on the Nikon Coolpix L310 is what sets this shooter away from any other point and shoot or compact digital camera made  by Nikon today. Other camera models might offer more features such as removable  lenses or fantastic zoom ratios, but if you don’t have a high quality lens attached to the front of the camera, the rest of it is all just wasted effort. Great lenses make great photos (and  videos to0 ) and Nikon realizes this and stuck the fastest lens ever on the front of the Nikon  Coolpix l310 with a fast f/1.8 lens.

Most other digital cameras offer glass in the f/4 to f/5.6 range, so to see a wide  open lens aperture like this is absolutely fantastic and great news for more advanced shooters wanting to buy one of the best compact cameras on sale today.

Full HD Videos Too

HD video is becoming more and more commonplace  in the digital camera category – where once was  just a curiosity offerin  horrible VGA resolution, is now full 72op HD video recording and playback on either the big and bright 3.o inch display  or with the optional HDMI cable  - connected to your HDTV to share the videos with your friends and family  in the comfort of your own home.

Nikon has released a winner with the Nikon Coolpix  L310, and it would not surprise us at all that this small shooter outsells many digital SLR’s  in 2012
